The Blind Side

A clever, heart-tugging, metaphorical film that boasts Sandra Bullock as award-winning potential.

In layman's terms: a real-life, emotional, but not sappy, feel-good movie that shows Bullock in her best performance I've ever seen.
Literally, this movie might be predictable (especially if you already know the story of Michael Oher), but it was honest, with a little taste of gratitude for family and the things we have.
Think
The Pursuit of Happyness meets Erin Brokovich. ;)

What I liked the MOST about this movie was the ability for the director to tell this story without yanking at the heart strings. Because we ALL know from the previews that these two people from two opposite ends are going to grow close and change each other's lives, which is a sure potential recipe for: LAME (which is actually what I predicted).

Other than that, Bullock looked shnazzy as a spitfire Southern woman, and Tim McGraw complemented her handsomely with his masculine charm. The kid who played Oher has great sad facial expressions which helped gear his performance when he had no lines.

Excellent movie. Great to watch with anyone. I recommend.
