I Pray I'll Love: Eat, Pray, Love

Oh my, I'm so excited! I just found out that the book Eat, Pray, Love will be made into a movie. Woo-hoo. I feel so ready to watch that movie. When I was skimming the photo section of People magazine, the caption under Julia Roberts mentioned that she was filming that movie. I can only imagine that she will be portraying the writer.

Without boring you or ruining the plot, the book is Elizabeth Gilbert's-- a very respected writer--experiences as she explores Italy, India, and Indonesia. Very different than a tourist-y approach, she concerns herself more with her own spirituality and place in the world.
Men, you might think this one is a yawn, but the truth is, she actually explores her own sexuality too (interested now?). Also, Javier Bardem (mmm) and James Franco are characters, which means we ladies also get some eye candy (I'm guessing Franco plays her cutie Italian tutor). I wonder if Julia Roberts will dye her hair blonde like the author's . . .

Its times like these that I love what I do. I LOVE reading, and I LOVE writing, and I LOVE movies, and adaptations of books are always so highly anticipated (especially for books I enjoy). The downfall of this is the possible disappointment I may face at the movie's inability to include ALL the details of the book inside. Major Kasia sadness comes into play when a movie ruins her book experience.

If you're a book reader and you're in for a little self-exploration, you should read: Eat, Pray, Love. And take your time reading it too, the movie isn't set to release until 2011. :(

  1. For real? I'm totally thrilled!!!! I freakin' LOVED this book and can actually see Julia doing the part even though I only sometimes appreciate her as an actress.
