Susie on Julie & Julia

Julie & Julia, what can I say? I genuinely liked this movie, but . . . I'm not sure I'd go running for the hills telling you to see it.

You see, I began watching this movie with many biases. One of the main ones being that I loved cooking as well as the actresses in the movie. The movie is a based on the lives of two women and how their talents cross over into the literary and culinary worlds. The movie involves a lot of chick flick-ish traits that would easily turn any man to his Blackberry and maybe scare the woman out of her kitchen permanently. Kitchen flops might be funny to me, but probably not to the average person.

Julie & Julia is much like blue cheese, an acquired taste that I'm not sure all will appreciate, but those who have the palate for it, should definitely try it out.
