I Did In Fact Hear About the Morgans

I don't know what possessed me to rent a romantic comedy this particular evening. However, I chose Did You Hear About the Morgans, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant. The two of them, oh so known for their rom coms and fast-city life emulations was kind of predictable, sweet, and comforting.

I'm not sure that with some actors we are hoping to see them in a new groundbreaking light. In fact, I'd even argue that with certain performers, we almost go to them to give us that dose of whatever genre we crave at the time. Hugh, charming and sarcastic gave me exactly what I expected from him and SJP as usual is wrapped up in her NY living costume she wears exclusively these days.

Though the story line was a little fantastical, the chemistry of a troubled married couple was played out well and I genuinely did laugh and tear up through out. If you're in the mood for the pre-packaged romantic comedy, I'd definitely recommend this. Otherwise, SJP fans, just wait til SATC 2 comes out.
