Breaking a Habit: Day 1


I'm not officially going to call myself a smoker, but I have been socially smoking the past six months. I'm not addicted or reliant on my smoke buzz, but I do sometimes miss it, if I haven't had it for a few days. Last night, I vowed to no longer put a cigarette to my mouth, and said goodbye to it with a farewell puff (puffs), for at least 30 days. I will chronicle just how this breaking of a habit affects my routine, and prove to myself what strength I have in overcoming bad habits.

The status today, though its only been 8 hours, is: fine, good even. No real struggle yet. I almost invite the resistance. I guess its easy to feel confident as I sip at yet another addiction of mine: coffee.
